The R&E Center is located at 100 Red Rock Road in Newport. Those delivering waste should follow signs for deliveries—blue colored route in map above. You will be directed by the attendant at the scale house. After delivering waste, please exit along same route.

For haulers delivering residential trash from areas participating in the Food Scraps Pickup Program, please see signage located at the scale house for direction.

ALERT: Traffic control change for visitors at R&E Center through October

Xcel Energy is completing gas pipeline construction near the Ramsey/Washington Recycling & Energy (R&E) Center, which will impact traffic flow through October.  

During construction:  

  • All incoming traffic must enter through the waste delivery entrance.  
  • All outgoing traffic must exit through the employee/visitor entrance. This entrance is for outbound traffic only.  

Please refer to the map below for the temporary traffic pattern. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while this work is completed.
